How Invisalign Works

The first step of the process involves a consultation with one of our Invisalign dentists in Newark. We’ll begin by capturing X-rays and examining your teeth and gums to make sure you could benefit from Invisalign clear aligners. After determining that you’re a good candidate for treatment, our team will capture digital impressions of your mouth that we can send to our Invisalign laboratory to craft your trays. Once we receive them, we’ll have you come back in to show you how to put them in, take them out, and clean them. You’ll need to wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day and switch to the next series in your treatment every one to two weeks. After about six to eight weeks, you’ll return to our office to pick up the next series of aligners and our team will quickly check-in with you and track your progress.
